Well, I have spent the last few days phoning all the places related to THE FOUR PAINTINGS/TERRIBLE TRUTH DEBACLE, explaining that I never had them in the first place. I am glad I have done all this by phone, as they would probably have me locked up over all the confusion I have spread throughout Dublin.

 

 

Also today, I finally closed the account I opened a month ago with St Anthony / St Jude and I gave the money that I had promised them for finding the same paintings to Black Santa at St Ann’s Church. I reckoned that in these straightened times, this was ok. As I was near it, I couldn’t resist having my annual visit to the live crib at the Mansion House… as usual, the animals were really well-behaved, some of the children were more unruly! Maybe the powers that be should have a rethink and reverse the roles, and the donkeys, goats and sheep could trot past viewing the children….

Tonight I went with LSH to the Arts Club for the launch of  Sophie Parkin’s “The Colony Room Club 1948-2008”. It was well attended, and it looked as if it was rapidly heading towards being a great party later….but we’d to come home. Ho Hum - LSH had his way.
