Getting going again

I am trying to catch up on work after a dose of the 'flu. It really knocked me for six, and now it seems that there are not enough hours in the day!

I got a piece started and finished last week, and I got about four decent prints; they’re in the blotters drying and flattening at the moment. I may not think they’re so great when I take a look at them again this week. Yesterday, I started another three plates and already I have scrapped one of them, well that’s print for you! But as John Kelly said, the proofs make great fire lighters, so all is not lost.
Today I got a lovely surprise in the post. Yet another cheque for the “Midwinter Gardens” drypoint I made for the Botanics exhibition. The 64th in the edition….it’s unbelievable! It’s the print that keeps giving.
