Marie-Louise has been invited to exhibit a piece in the summer festival held in Boyle, Roscommon. Held annually in July, the festival has been an important part of the contemporary Irish art calendar for many years. This year is a special event, as only artists who are represented in the Civic Collection are invited to show new work.

The highly-regarded festival is dedicated to the classic arts and promotes the works of well-established artists as well as that of young and emerging talent by some of the very best contemporary painters, printers and sculptors in Ireland. The festival also hosts a programme of classical music with concerts by young and established soloists, ensembles and choirs. The whole town participates in the festival with events including local art exhibitions, jazz, traditional and world music, drama, literature, storytelling, singers nights, comedy, workshops and children's programmes. The Boyle Civic Collection is also on display during the event and is considered one of the best collections of paintings and sculptures by some of Ireland's most talented contemporary artists.
